
RRAC track & field athletes of the week released for March 31-April 7
WACO, Texas – RRAC Track & Field Athletes of the Week have been announced for March 31-April 6 with this week's honorees including Jaheene Bell of Xavier University (La.) (men's track), Mansur Ali of Xavier (men's field), Breanna Clarke of Xavier (women's track), and Charity Johnson of Xavier (women's field). The is the third set of awards for the 2025 RRAC outdoor track & field season.
Bell earned the 400-meter hurdles title at the Pelican Relays in Baton Rouge, La. The sophomore from Old Harbour, Jamaica, posted the No. 2 time in the NAIA this season at 52.17, ahead of 12 competitors with four from NCAA Division I schools. Bell's mark is also a school record.
Ali had a busy week, competing in four events at the Pelican Relays. The freshman from Pike Road, Ala., placed 13th in the shot put with a heave of 13.06, and 15th in the javelin at 36.74. He also competed in the discus and hammer throw for the Gold Rush.
Clarke finished ahead of 22 NCAA Division I student-athletes in the 100-meter dash and ahead of eight in the 100-meter hurdles. The junior from St. Catherine, Jamaica, placed fifth in the dash and seventh in the hurdles. Clarke is tied for fifth on the NAIA season list in the 100-meter dash.
Johnson posted a distance of 41.23 to place seventh in the discus among 22 competitors. The freshman from Framingham, Mass., also landed in 14th place in the shot put at 10.70.
