OLLU will regroup to face Marian (Ind.) in fifth game of NAIA Softball World Series

WACO, Texas (May 21, 2026) – The Red River Athletic Conference’s Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) will begin its quest for a second national championship this afternoon, after winning in 2024. The Saints made their first trip to the big show in 2023, when they finished 0-2, and the following year, they went 7-0 on the national stage to capture the World Series Crown.

LSU Shreveport’s Morgan Named 2025-26 RRAC Athletic Director of the Year

WACO, Texas (May 18, 2026) -- Lucas Morgan of LSU Shreveport has been selected as the 2025-26 Red River Athletic Conference Athletic Director of the Year, marking his second consecutive honor and the fourth time overall that he has received the award.
Xavier and LSU Alexandria finish their seasons in the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship Quarterfinal Round

WACO, Texas (May 15, 2026) – No. 5-ranked Xavier University of Louisiana and No. 7-ranked LSU Alexandria, both from the Red River Athletic Conference, had first-round byes. Both teams lost in the quarterfinal round of the 45th Annual UTR Sports NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship. The event is being held at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala., through May 16. It has been hosted there for 22 consecutive years (except for 2020, when it was canceled due to COVID-19). In addition to Xavier and LSU Alexandria, Louisiana Christian University and Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) represented the RRAC, but both were eliminated earlier in the week, concluding their seasons.
OLLU Softball Dominates Opening Round, Clinches World Series Berth

WACO, Texas (May 14, 2026) – Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) has done it again, capturing the NAIA Opening Round Championship for the third time in just four years. The Saints triumphed over the Oregon Institute of Technology this afternoon to secure a spot in the finals with a thrilling 8-5 victory over the Owls on Wednesday. With OLLU at 3-1 and OIT at 2-1, the stage was set for a dramatic “if necessary” game, where the Saints delivered a 5-3 win, punching their ticket to the 45th Annual NAIA Softball National Championship World Series. The Red River Athletic Conference sent three teams to the NAIA Opening Round this season: LSU Alexandria (3-2), OLLU (4-1), and Texas A&M-Texarkana (1-2).

WACO, Texas (May 13, 2026) – The last two remaining Red River Athletic Conference teams participating in the Opening Round of the 69th Annual Baseball Tournament Championship saw their seasons end today. Louisiana Christian won in the early morning but lost later, while LSU Shreveport also earned a morning victory before falling to Mid-America Christian in the afternoon.
OLLU's dominance continues with 11th RRAC All-Sports Award
