OLLU's Perez, Litterio register RRAC softball weekly honors following six straight shutouts

WACO, Texas – Yezenia Perez of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) collected the RRAC Softball Player of the Week award for March 31-April 6, while her teammate, Annika Litterio, earned her second RRAC Pitcher of the Week honor for the same dates. This is the 10^th set of weekly winners for the 2025 RRAC softball season.

Perez hit .571 for the week en route to six wins for the Saints. The freshman utility player from Harlingen, Texas, went 8-for-14 with four extra-base hits and five RBIs. Perez connected on a solo home run in a 17-0 win over Texas College and added another in a 9-0 victory over University of the Southwest (N.M.). She leads the RRAC in doubles (11), and she is seventh in RBIs (32). OLLU remains unbeaten at 20-0 in conference play with a 34-6 record overall.

Litterio recorded two no-hitters in the Saints' big week. The junior right-hander from San Antonio blanked Jarvis Christian University (Texas) on Wednesday with 16 strikeouts in seven innings of work. Litterio followed with a complete game, five-inning effort to shut out USW, 8-0. She struck out 19 hitters in 12 innings while walking two. Litterio is third in the conference in wins (14) and ERA (1.86), and she is second in strikeouts (114). OLLU pitchers didn't allow a single run last week.
