RRAC track and field athletes of the week announced for March 24-30

WACO, Texas – RRAC Track & Field Athletes of the Week have been announced for March 14-20 with this week's honorees including Andrew Gilipps of Xavier University (La.) (men's track), Tele Jegede of Xavier (men's field), Breanna Clarke of Xavier (women's track), and Charity Johnson of Xavier (women's field). The is the second set of awards for the 2025 RRAC outdoor track & field season.

Gilipps placed third in the 100-meter dash at the Southern Miss Invitational in Hattiesburg, Miss. The sophomore from Moneague, Jamaica, posted a time of 10.59 against a field of 49 sprinters. Gilipps also placed 10th in the 200 and was part of the Xavier 400-meter relay team that finished fourth.

Jegede landed in 12th place in the discuss at the Southern Miss meet. The senior from Shorewood, Ill., threw for a distance of 44.40 meters and competed against a field of 35. Jegede also placed 20th in the shot put event.

Clarke produced two A-qualifying marks for NAIA outdoor nationals at Southern Miss. The junior from St. Catherine, Jamaica, posted a time of 11.67 in the 100-meter dash to finish third, and she was part of a 400-meter relay team that placed fifth at 46.36.

Johnson was the runner-up in the women's discus at Southern Miss with a B-qualifying mark of 44.71. The freshman from Framingham, Mass., was competing against 29 throwers. Johnson also delivered a throw of 10.7 meters in the shot put to place 12th.
