OLLU's Kalisky, Gamez honored with RRAC baseball weekly awards

WACO, Texas – Jack Kalisky of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) earned selection as the RRAC Baseball Player of the Week for Feb. 17-23, while his teammate, Donovan Gamez, notched the RRAC Pitcher of the Week honor for the same dates. This is the fifth set of weekly winners for the 2025 RRAC baseball season.

Kalisky homered in all three games as the Saints won their series with University of the Southwest (N.M.), 2-1. The junior utility player from San Antonio drove in 11 runs in the series while hitting .462 and slugging 1.231. Kalisky was 2-for-4 with four RBI in a 10-1 victory in the first game, and he was 3-for-5 in the finale with three RBI. He is the conference leader with five home runs and 21 RBI for the season. OLLU improved to 2-4 in RRAC play and 6-12 overall.

Gamez earned a win in the first game of the series against USW, allowing one run and three hits. The junior right-hander from San Antonio struck out five hitters and walked two over seven innings of work. Gamez evened his record at 2-2 and lowered his ERA to 1.29.
