Jordin Williams helped lead LSU Alexandria's men's basketball team to the NAIA national championship game and served as a building block in the early years of the program. During his time in Alexandria, the team made four NAIA tournament appearances as Williams became the second player in Generals history to top the 1,000-point mark for his career.
Williams has accounted for three of the top four scoring games in the LSUA record book. Competing in the 2018 NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship Final, Williams hit a key three-pointer to give LSUA a four-point lead with less than two minutes left in regulation and contributed a steal that led to a transition bucket to re-establish four-point lead with a minute left. After the lead slipped away, Williams sank two free throws to tie the game with less than 20 seconds remaining before the Generals eventually lost. In the title game, Williams made eight three-pointers, setting a school single-game record. He finished with 31 points.
Williams averaged 12.4 points per game for his career with a 45.8% field goal percentage. He connected on 40.3% of three-point attempts and averaged 3.2 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game. In his senior season (2017-18), he accounted for 20.4 points and 3.9 assists per game with a three-point field goal percentage of 43.3% and free throw percentage of 87.9%.
Williams posted a 2.92 GPA, and was recognized as a 2017-18 NAIA First Team All-American, 2017-18 NAIA All-Tournament selection, 2017-18 RRAC All-Conference First Team selection, and a 2016-17 All-Conference Second Team member. He was named the 2018 RRAC Tournament MVP and an all-tournament selection.
