Xavier's Roper, Dagher capture top honors with RRAC Women's Soccer All-Conference Announcement
WACO, Texas – The 2025 RRAC Women's Soccer All-Conference team and annual awards were announced on Friday. Xavier, which finished second in the regular season standings, collected three of the top awards, while conference champion LSU Shreveport picked up Coach of the Year.
2025 RRAC Women's Soccer All-Conference Team
Xavier's Samira Roper earned the Athletic Solutions RRAC Offensive Player of the Year honor while ranking fifth nationally in goals scored. The senior forward led the conference with 24 goals and 50 points.
Shakiana Dagher of Xavier was named the Athletic Solutions RRAC Defensive Player of the Year. The junior defender helped limit opponents to 0.93 goals per game this season. Xavier is the highest-ranked RRAC team, and they didn't lose a conference match while going 8-0-3.
The Gold Nuggets' Juliana Kottbauer was recognized as the RRAC Newcomer of the Year. The junior midfielder scored seven goals and provided nine assists, which was fourth best in the conference. She racked up 23 points.
LSU Shreveport's Andy Kaplan earned the RRAC Coach of the Year award while leading the Pilots to the regular season title with a 10-1 conference mark and an 11-6 record overall. LSUS received a bye to the conference semifinals as the No. 1 seed.
Xavier players occupied four spots on the first team including Roper, Dagher, Kottbauer and goalkeeper Luisa Bella.
Our Lady of the Lake, which finished in third place, landed three players on the first team with forward Leah Tapia, midfielder Eleonora Diversi, and freshman defender Miya Haehnel.
LSUS players Jade Derks and Ella White were first-team selections, and LSU Alexandria had two represented as well with forward Alexia Bermejo Jo and Audrian Cruz. Ayloni Garcia of Texas A&M-Victoria is a first-team midfielder.
Roper and Dagher are the only repeat selections from last year's team.
