TAMUT's Dobreva and Herz, JCU's Jackson Named RRAC Volleyball Players of the Week
WACO, Texas (Oct. 20, 2025) – The Red River Athletic Conference has named Paulina Dobreva from Texas A&M University-Texarkana (Texas) as RRAC Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Aubrey Jackson from Jarvis Christian University (Texas) as RRAC Setter of the Week and Lauren Herz from TAMUT as RRAC Defender of the Week for Oct. 13-19.
RRAC Attacker of the Week – Paulina Dobreva – Texas A&M University-Texarkana
Dobreva played a key role in securing two wins for the Eagles this past week against a top-of-conference contender Xavier University at Louisiana (La.). The Eagles extended their win streak to eight games. Dobreva currently leads the conference in kills and kills per set. Dobreva is also second in the conference for digs. TAMUT improves to 20-4 overall and 6-0 in conference, while XULA moves to 14-8 overall and 2-2 in conference.

RRAC Setter of the Week – Aubrey Jackson – Jarvis Christian University
JCU setter Jackson led her team to two wins against Louisiana Christian University (La.), 3-0 and 3-2. She recorded 14 kills for a hitting percentage of .222. She added 50 assists, five service aces, 32 digs and two total blocks. LCU drops to 2-15 overall and 0-6 in conference.

RRAC Defender of the Week – Lauren Herz – Texas A&M University-Texarkana
Herz played a vital role in the Eagles' defensive efforts that secured her team's two wins this weekend against a top-of-conference contender XULA. The Eagles extended their win streak to eight games. Herz leads the conference in digs and is second in digs per set.

RRAC Notebook:
- JCU outside hitter Mahogani Wilson led her team to two wins against LCU, 3-0 and 3-2. She logged 29 kills for a percentage of .329 and added four digs and six blocks.
- TAMUT setter Ashley Rhame facilitated the Eagles' impressive offense attack during this weekend's two big wins over a top RRAC contender XULA. The Eagles continue their eight-game win streak. Rhame sits at third in the conference for assists per set and second for total assists.
- JCU setter/defensive specialist Gloria Iosefo led her team to 3-0 and 3-2 wins over LCU. She contributed six assists, two service aces and 28 digs.
