TAMUT's Wagner, Brannan receive RRAC weekly cross country awards
WACO, TEXAS – RRAC Cross Country Runners of the Week were announced the week of October 6-12 with Texas A&M University-Texarkana sweeping the nominations. Junior Levi Wagner won this week's men's award, and Zalenka Brannan captured the women's honor.
Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week - Levi Wagner, A&M-Texarkana
Wagner continues his dominance this season with his second Runner of the Week victory in three weeks. He showed out for the Eagles by finishing sixth with an individual time of 25:36 in the Tiger Invitational 8K Distance against 54 other runners. Wagner was the highest placing Eagle and helped carry TAMUT to a second-place team finish.
Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week - Zalenka Brannan, A&M-Texarkana
Brannan made the most of her lone race last week, setting a new personal record with a time of 19:05:87 in the Tiger Invitational 5K race. The PR earned Brannan a 12th-place finish among 54 competitors. This is the junior's second Runner of the Week victory in three weeks.
