Thomas, Davalle recognized with RRAC men's soccer weekly awards
WACO, Texas – Jack Thomas of LSU Shreveport (La.) earned RRAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the dates Oct. 6 – 12, and Zachary Davalle of Texas A&M University-Texarkana claimed the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week award for the same dates.
RRAC Offensive Player of the Week - Jack Thomas (LSU Shreveport)
Thomas led the way for the Pilots as he scored a goal in a 3-0 victory over Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas), and he added two more in a 6-2 win over Texas A&M University-San Antonio. The senior also tallied two assists, keeping LSUS's offense moving against the Jaguars. Thomas is tied for third in the RRAC in points with 22. The Pilots have won eight straight to improve to 8-0-5 overall and 6-0 in conference play.
RRAC Defensive Player of the Week - Zachary Davalle (A&M-Texarkana)
Davalle anchored the back line and served as the driving force behind the Eagles' defensive success. The junior defender was crucial in TAMUT's strong showing in conference play, holding two of the top teams in the league scoreless. The Eagles defeated Xavier University (La.), 1-0, and tied LSU Alexandria (La.), 0-0. TAMUT improved to 3-2-1 in the RRAC standings and 4-4-5 on the season.

RRAC Notebook:
- Zak Averns (OLLU) made 17 saves between the two games for the Saints last week. He tied a school record for second all-time in saves in a single game during the season.
- Iman Ouedraogo (XULA) scored two goals along with two assists as he continues to lead the RRAC with 30 points.
- Ben McCarron (LSUA) came off the bench and scored two goals against Jarvis Christian, including the game-winner.
