TAMUSA's Pena takes tournament title, RRAC golfer of the week

WACO, Texas – Jacob Pena of Texas A&M University-San Antonio garnered the RRAC Men's Golfer of the Week award for the dates of March 24-30. This is the fifth weekly award of the 2025 RRAC golf season. 

Pena won the first individual tournament title in the four-year history of the Jaguars' program on March 24-25 at the Linda Lowery Invitational. The senior from Victoria, Texas, shot rounds of 69-68 on the par-72 course at Teravista Golf Club in Round Rock, Texas. Pena finished a shot ahead of the runner-up and conquered the field of 58 golfers. His national ranking rose 44 spots from No. 109 to No. 65 as a result. TAMUSA finished third in the team standings.
