Goff, Williams notch RRAC women's hoops weekly honors

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

WACO, Texas – Princis Goff of Louisiana Christian University garnered the RRAC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week award for Feb. 3-9, while Erynn Williams of LSU Shrevport (La.) was tabbed as the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week for the same dates. This is the 14th set of weekly awards for the 2024-25 women's basketball season.

Goff posted 27.0 points per game in a 2-0 week for the Wildcats. The junior forward from Atlanta, La., hit season-highs for points (31) and field goals (10) as LCU rallied from 16 points down for a 74-71 victory over Texas A&M University-Texarkana. Against Jarvis Christian University (Texas), Goff knocked down 23 points. She finished the week by shooting 16-of-42 from the field and 19-of-22 from the free throw line. Goff leads the conference in scoring with 20.6 points per game. The Wildcats jumped to 8-12 in league play and 8-14 overall.

Williams delivered 10 steals in a 2-0 week for the Pilots. The senior guard from Saginaw, Mich., accounted for eight steals as LSUS held North American University (Texas) to 42 points and she added two more as the Pilots held Huston-Tillotson University (Texas) to 48. Williams also dropped in 21 points against NAU. She is second in the conference with 3.2 steals per game. The Pilots are tied for first in the RRAC at 20-1 with a 21-3 mark on the season.
