TAMUSA's Dominguez, LCU's Woods cap season with RRAC women's soccer weekly honors

WACO, Texas – Jasmin Dominguez of Texas A&M University-San Antonio captured the RRAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honor for Oct. 28-Nov. 4, while Jaycee Woods of Louisiana Christian University earned the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week award for the same dates. This is the 11th set of conference awards for the 2024 women's soccer season.

Dominguez generated three goals and two assists as the Jaguars closed out the regular season with a pair of conference victories. The sophomore midfielder from San Antonio netted a goal and assisted on two others in a 3-1 win over Huston-Tillotson University (Texas), and she tacked on two goals in a 3-0 victory over the University of Houston-Victoria (Texas). Dominguez raised her season totals to five goals and five assists. TAMUSA landed the No. 8 seed in the RRAC tournament at 6-6-1 in conference play and 6-8-1 overall.

Woods racked up two more shutouts for the Wildcats this week. The senior goalkeeper from Mount Pleasant, Texas, helped LCU lock up the No. 2 seed in the RRAC tournament with a 1-0 win at Xavier, and she blanked North American, 3-0. Woods now has five shutouts in her last six starts in goal, and LCU broke the school record for single-season clean sheets with 12. Woods had nine saves for the week, and she has collected 64 this season. Her 0.89 goals against average is second best in the conference. The Wildcats closed the regular season at 11-1-1 in the RRAC and 12-4-2 overall.
