OLLU's Rheinberger, LCU's Woods earn RRAC women's soccer weekly awards

WACO, Texas – Lyndee Rheinberger of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) garnered the RRAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award for Oct. 14-20, while Jaycee Woods of Louisiana Christian University was recognized as the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week for the same dates. This is the ninth set of conference awards for the 2024 women's soccer season.

Rheinberger produced two goals and an assist in a 1-0-1 week for the Saints. The senior midfielder from San Antonio assisted on OLLU's only goal in a 1-1 draw with RRAC frontrunner Xavier University (La.). Rheinberger also chipped in two goals on three total shots in a 6-0 victory over North American University (Texas). She is in the top 20 in the conference in goals (6) and points (15) this season. The Saints climbed to 6-2-1 in conference play and 7-3-2 overall.

Woods posted clean sheets in two home match victories for the Wildcats last week. The senior goalkeeper from Mount Pleasant, Texas, made three saves in a 5-0 win over Huston-Tillotson University (Texas), and she made two more saves in a 1-0 nailbiter over the University of Houston-Victoria (Texas). In the process, Woods became the program's all-time career shutout leader with 15. She holds a 74.1% save percentage for the season, and she is fourth in the conference with a 1.07 goals against average. LCU is well-positioned at 7-1-1 in the RRAC and 8-4-2 on the season.
