
OLLU's Leza, Moran win RRAC cross country weekly honors
WACO, Texas – Leilani Leza of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) raced to the RRAC Women's Country Runner of the Week award for Sept. 16-22, while OLLU's Isai Moran was recognized as the RRAC Men's Runner of the Week for the same dates. This is the fourth award of the 2024 cross country season.
Leza took fifth place in a field of 27 runners in the women's competition at OLLU's Saints Cross Country Invite. The junior from McAllen, Texas, posted a time of 24:14.7 in the 6K race. The Saints finished as runners-up in the team competition.
Moran led OLLU to the men's team championship while finishing in fourth place individually at the Saints' home meet. The freshman from El Paso, Texas, completed the 8K distance in a time of 27:17.1 against a field of 35 runners.
