LSUA, USW to meet again in 2025 RRAC men's basketball tournament final
ALEXANDRIA, La. – For the second consecutive year, LSU Alexandria and Southwest will meet in the RRAC men's basketball tournament championship game. No. 1 LSUA kept trucking with a victory over No. 4 Texas A&M-Texarkana, while the Mustangs broke through again as the No. 7 seed at Laborde Earles Coliseum. The teams will play for the title at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

LSUA is currently ranked No. 2 nationally and will be attempting to repeat as tournament champs while winning back-to-back regular season conference titles. Southwest will be vying for a trip the NAIA national tournament, peaking at the right time after playing in the championship game as a No. 6 seed last year. The Generals won the final last year, 90-72.
Following are the semifinal summaries:
Southwest 75, Louisiana Christian 63
Southwest returned to the RRAC tournament title game with an aggressive defense and an offense that attacked relentlessly to earn the 75-63 victory. USW held a 30-24 edge at halftime gradually pulled away throughout the second half. For the game, the Mustangs held a significant edge in field goal shooting at 53.7% to LCU's 33.9%.
Southwest's Jacob Koontz led all scorers with 20 points, while Rahkiem Petterson finished with a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds. Devin Carter led LCU for the second straight game with 18 points.
LCU's season ends at 16-14, while USW moves on at 17-12.
LSU Alexandria 81, Texas A&M-Texarkana 65
LSU Alexandria held court with an 81-65 victory over the TAMUT on the road to the final.
LSUA clawed to a 35-32 and led by three with 7:12 remaining at 59-56 after a pair of Eagles free throws. The Generals went on a 13-2 tear over the next four minutes with a run that included a pair of three-pointers from Kashie Natt and another from E.J. McQuillan. LSUA led 72-58 at that point and added to the lead in the final minutes.
Natt, the RRAC Player of the Year, finished with 24 points and 17 rebounds, while Isaiah Howard compiled 11 points coming off the bench. Deovaunta Williams led TAMUT in scoring with 15 points, and Daryl Houston added 12.
TAMUT is 20-10 on the season, while LSUA improved to 27-2.
