Notes: Thaxton continues to rewrite the record books at LSUA, this week putting her name at the top of four more statistical categories. Thursday night, she became women's hoops all-time leading scorer (in sophomore season) while setting new records for single-game points scored (42), single-game field goals made (15) and single-game three pointers made (10). Sharing a role of point guard duties due to injuries, she played all 80 minutes of action and committed only three turnovers, while averaging 34.5 points, three-and-a-half rebound and three assists. The Generals went 2-0 on the week and held strong in the #2 spot in league standing, despite being without senior guard Brittany Hall, who currently ranks second in the country in assists per game. Thaxton is the second leading scorer in all of NAIA Division I women's basketball and is connecting from behind the arc at a rate of over 40% for the Generals, who lead the nation in total field goal percentage.
