
Pilots' Lescher named RRAC Player of the Year with Women's Tennis All-Conference announcement
WACO, Texas – Folllowing the most successful tennis season in RRAC history, the conference announced the 2025 RRAC Women's Tennis All-Conference Team, players of the year and Champions of Character team today.
Showcasing the depth of the conference, five teams finished in the NAIA top 25 (LSU Alexandria, Xavier, Our Lady of the Lake, Louisiana Christian and LSU Shreveport) and three are in the field of 24 for the NAIA national tournament (LSUA, Xavier and OLLU). In the RRAC tournament, the No. 5 and No. 6 seeds played for the title.
2025 RRAC Women's Tennis All-Conference Team
Pierina Lescher of LSUS earned the RRAC Player of the Year award and a spot on the all-conference first team. The sophomore from Maracaibo, Venezuela, is ranked No. 32 in the NAIA ITA singles rankings with a 10-2 record this season.
OLLU's Marie Peters was named the RRAC Newcomer of the Year, and LSUA's Kanupriya Rajawat garnered the RRAC Freshman of the Year award. OLLU's Dave Watts received the RRAC Coach of the Year award after his team claimed the conference tournament title.
Lescher is joined on the first team by Elizaveta Mikhailova from LCU, Nahia Echaide and Rajawat from LSUA, and Mbali Langa and McKenna Wheatley from Xavier. Both Langa and Wheatley are repeat first-team selections.
