UHV's Bickelmann, Van der Wath win RRAC golfer of the week awards
WACO, Texas – Emmily Bickelmann of the University of Houston-Victoria (Texas) earned the RRAC Women's Golfer of the Week award for April 7-13, while UHV's Joshua Van der Wath was recognized as the RRAC Men's Golfer of the Week for the same dates. This is the sixth weekly award of the 2025 RRAC golf season.
Bickelmann tied for 11th place at the Blinn College Spring Invitational in Brenham, Texas. The senior from Weisbaden, Germany, shot rounds of 79-81 over two days on the par-72 track. Bickelmann and the Jaguars competed in a field of 41 golfers from eight teams.
Van der Wath placed third in the St. Mary's University Battle at Riverhill tournament in Kerrville, Texas. The senior from Johannesburg, South Africa, tied for the second-most birdies in the event with 13, six of which came in the third and final round. Van der Wath finished with scores of 72-73-66 on the par-72 course.
