RRAC track & field athletes of the week named for March 4-10

WACO, Texas – RRAC Track & Field Athletes of the Week have been announced for March 4-10 with this week's honorees including Charles Dorsett III (men's track - A&M-Texarkana), Damien Trahan (men's field - Xavier) and Kylar Coleman (women's track – Xavier). This is the first set of track & field weekly awards for the 2024 RRAC outdoor season. 

Dorsett qualified for the NAIA national meet by winning the 800-meter run at the University of Texas-Arlington Invitational. The senior from Fort Worth, Texas, posted a time of 1:52.13 against a field of 43 runners.

Trahan placed second in the high jump and ninth in the long jump at the McNeese State University (La.) Cowboy Relays on Saturday. The senior from Lake Charles, La., reached a height of 1.95m in the high jump and 6.45m in the long jump.

Coleman finished fifth in both the 100- and 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division I Cowboy Relays meet. The sophomore from Harvey, La., recorded a time of 15.05 in the 100 and 1:09.50 in the 400.
