
OLLU's Robinson, TAMUT's Dorsett pick up first RRAC cross country awards of 2023
WACO, Texas – Charles Dorsett III of Texas A&M University-Texarkana earned the RRAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award for Aug. 28-Sept. 3, while Sanai Robinson of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) captured the RRAC Women's Runner of the Week honor. This is the first set of conference awards for the 2023 cross country season.
Dorsett placed third in the Nicole Leman Invitational at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. The senior from Fort Worth, Texas, posted a time of 15:42.50 in the three-mile event against a field of 40 runners. The Eagles finished second in the men's team standings.
Robinson recorded an 11th place finish in her first collegiate event, the University of the Incarnate Word (Texas) Cross Country Twilight. The freshman from San Antonio finished with a time of 15:10 in the 4K race against 55 competitors, which were mostly from NCAA Division I schools. The OLLU women placed fifth in the team results.
